TEMPO-Madison is a group of dynamic women leaders. Our 200+ members are from various industries, sectors and backgrounds. Each brings her own “sphere of influence.” Each values the connections she is able to make with other women who bring different perspectives and experiences.
The typical TEMPO-Madison member shares the following traits:
· 10 years+ professional experience
· 5 years executive level professional experience
· decision-making responsibility for staff and budget
· direct access to the organization's top executive
· leadership in professional and/or civic organizations
Members are invited to monthly luncheons with featured speakers intended to stimulate conversation and expand horizons. Additional networking events encourage TEMPO-Madison members to connect with each other socially and maintain perspective on life outside of the office. Informal clubs allow members to pursue connections with women who share interests, some involving book clubs, discussion groups and weekend breakfasts.
All TEMPO-Madison members are expected to participate in the organization. That participation varies based on professional and personal obligations for each member and it often fluctuates over time. The main requirement is that a TEMPO-Madison member responds to any other member that seeks a connection. We all support each other and bring our influence to bear as appropriate.
Membership is by invitation and applicants must be nominated by a current TEMPO member. Nominees are asked to complete an application process and applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
