HISTORY

TEMPO was created to break down barriers and unite women executives within a single community in order to:

Make them and others more influential by supporting and empowering one other
Draw attention to the pool of talented and accomplished women working in the community
Make
TEMPO itself a power in the  community, thereby making it easier for
each of its members to attain positions of power and influence in
the community
Organizationally, the first step was to construct a membership roster including:

  • Those women who had "arrived" and already wielded significant power
  • Those who held positions of influence but who were not necessarily part of the "inner circle,"
  • Those women of talent, drive and ambition who had the potential for
  • being magnates in the community, thus ensuring the continuing influence
  • of TEMPO.

Designed neither as a social club, service club, nor women's club per se, TEMPO continues to grow, adapt and change while staying true to its mission of supporting, empowering, and mentoring female leaders.
