Get Involved! Join a TEMPO Madison Committee

Communications, Branding & Public Relations

This committee promotes TEMPO activities and guides our public relations, including monthly newsletters and social media. The committee meets to review TEMPO Madison's branding and marketing options and assists the Executive Director with writing and proofreading materials. The average time commitment is one hour per month.

Branding and Public Relations will review the current mission, vision, and program this year, along with working to promote TEMPO Madison to other groups, events, and potential members.

Chair: BJ Pfeiffer

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The committee aims to help women of diverse backgrounds and experiences succeed at the highest professional levels in our community with programs and networking opportunities—a quarterly meeting to plan future events.

Chair: Margaret LeMay

Hospitality

Welcomes new members and guests to TEMPO Madison at the monthly luncheons. New members are invited to join the committee at the front table, and the bi-annual call and luncheon are the only time commitments.

Chair: Theola Carter

Membership

Joining the Membership Committee is not a significant time commitment, but it is a valuable contribution to TEMPO Madison. The committee meets quarterly to consider the qualifications of women nominated to be members and determine if they meet TEMPO requirements. In addition, the committee identifies women in the Madison area whom we would like to invite to be TEMPO members.

Chair: TBA

Networking

Organizes regular opportunities for TEMPO members to gather on the first Thursday of each month and other opportunities to gather. The committee meets once a quarter to plan the monthly events; a committee member is the leader for each month's event. Average Time Commitment: 2 – 5 hours a quarter.

Chair: Bri Yanke

Program

This committee plans the luncheon speaker presentations. It meets quarterly to review potential topics and speakers suggested by the membership and committee members.

Chair: Carol Koby

Leadership Series Foundation

The Leadership Series was created to provide relevant and insightful information for personal and professional development, and the Foundation board is excited to host a program each quarter, starting in September 2025. The committee will plan the topics, invite panelists, speakers, and potential locations.

Chairs: Jennifer Winding

Scholarship Foundation

The committee annually reviews scholarship applications from high schools in the Dane County area. The committee arranges in-person interviews with the top applicants, then makes tough decisions and selects the recipients who will receive a scholarship. The recipients are honored at one of the spring luncheons.

Co-Chairs: TBA

Mentorship

Fosters connections between TEMPO Madison members and our past scholarship recipients. Co-Chairs: Consuelo Lopez and Elaine Rich
