Kiva Lending Team | A TEMPO Madison initiative to provide loans to women-owned businesses.
| Supporting Female Business Owners and EntrepreneursKiva expands access to financial capital for underserved communities by crowdfunding loans. Organizations can create Kiva lending teams, allowing them to invest in people or businesses that align with their mission. TEMPO Madison's Kiva Lending Team aims to get money into the hands of women seeking to start or grow their businesses. While the percent of women-owned businesses is on the rise, many barriers still exist, including challenges securing financing. TEMPO Madison members can add funds to our investment pool. 100% of all funds received will be used to provide loans. |
Our Kiva Lending Team meets regularly to determine which available Kiva loans to fund based on our lending priorities, which are:
- Loans must benefit women-owned businesses with an emphasis on lending to women of color
- Geographic locations are prioritized in the following order:
- Madison
- Dane County
- Wisconsin
- Locations outside of our state or nation
