State of the News Media with Andy and Dee Hall 


Join us on Tuesday, February 9 from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. as Andy and Dee Hall, co-founders of the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, discuss the importance of the free press in the American democracy; how the free press is faring today, and the role the media and the public can and should play in fighting disinformation.

About Andy Hall: Andy Hall, a co-founder of the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism and a former Investigative Reporters and Editors board member, won dozens of awards for his reporting in 26 years at the Wisconsin State Journal and The Arizona Republic. Since the Center’s launch in 2009, he has been responsible for the Center’s journalistic and financial operations.


About Dee Hall: Dee J. Hall, a co-founder of the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, joined the staff as managing editor in June 2015. She is responsible for the Center’s daily news operations. She worked at the Wisconsin State Journal for 24 years as an editor and reporter focusing on projects and investigations. 

Regular Members & WRA Gift Certificates: Regular TEMPO Madison Members who register for the virtual luncheon have the option to receive a $20 gift card from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA).  Please check if you would like to receive a gift certificate selection when completing the registration form. 


No Cost for Retiree and Sabbatical members to attend, WRA gift cards not included with registration. 


Guests are welcome, cost is $10 per person.
