What AI actually changes about leadership beyond the headlines and hype
Speaker: Kate Hutchinson, AI Hub @ WSB President
September 8, 2026 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Madison Club
In this talk, AI Hub @ WSB President Kate Hutchinson explores AI through a practical, non-technical lens, focusing on what leaders realistically need to understand, where organizations struggle with adoption, and how to get started in meaningful ways. The session examines why the people adapting fastest are often not the most technical, but the most willing to experiment, learn publicly, and stay engaged with change.
About the Speaker: Kate Hutchinson is a junior at the University of Wisconsin–Madison studying Marketing, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. She serves as President of AI Hub @ WSB and holds leadership roles in Badger Consulting, the American Marketing Association, and the Undergraduate Business Council. Her work focuses on practical applications of AI, consulting, and marketing strategy, with particular interest in how emerging technologies can improve workflows, communication, and decision-making inside organizations. Through consulting projects, student programming, and independent exploration of AI tools and trends, she has become passionate about helping others approach new technology with curiosity, experimentation, and a willingness to learn publicly.
